He is an accomplished media professional with over two decades of experience, including nearly 16 years as a senior correspondent for the BBC World Service in the U.S. He currently serves as the Deputy Director-General for Media Services at the Liberia Broadcasting System. A seasoned health communication specialist, Hassan has held key roles at the UNDP and Liberia Electricity Corporation, and led media efforts during the Ebola and COVID-19 crises. He holds two master’s degrees: one in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and another in Health Communications and International Public Relations from Johns Hopkins University. Hassan is dedicated to training young journalists and community service.
